Microsoft has its sights set on delivering new benchmarks for graphical power and processing speeds. Existing Xbox One games, including backward-compatible Xbox 360 and Xbox games will work on the Xbox Series X. Your favorite Xbox One controller will also be compatible. Xbox Series X leverages AMD’s Zen 2 and RDNA 2 architectures to deliver a stunning 8K resolution, DirectX raytracing, and up to 120 frames-per-second for some games. The graphics processing unit (or GPU) delivers 12 TFLOPS of power, which is eight times greater than an original Xbox One and twice that of an Xbox One X.

Using next-generation SSD storage, Microsoft foresees developers creating bigger worlds that load in the blink of an eye and allow for faster fast travel speeds than previously seen in any other generation.
