His affinity with all manner of magical creatures - no matter how disturbing or untameable - causes all kinds of trouble. From dragons and giant three-headed dogs, to hippogriffs and blast-ended skrewts, Hagrid finds them enticing and endearing. Despite the trouble caused (including his expulsion from Hogwarts years earlier) Dumbledore and the Trio always have his back, and in turn he has theirs.
