Follow the adventures of the young lion Simba, the heir of his father, Mufasa, on his journey from lion cub to King of Pride Rock. Simba's wicked uncle, Scar, plots to usurp Mufasa's throne by luring father and son into a stampede of wildebeests. But Simba escapes, and only Mufasa is killed. Simba returns as an adult to take back his homeland from Scar with the help of his friends Timon and Pumbaa.
Since it's release in 1994, The Lion King has gone on to become one of the most beloved Disney films ever produced. The film follows young Simba on his journey from being outcast to the becoming King of Pride Rock, taking the place of his father Mufasa.
